CBD FAQ

What is CBD?

CBD (or Cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring chemical compound found in the flowers and leaves of the cannabis plant. However, unlike its chemical counterpart THC (or tetrahydrocannabinol) it is not psychoactive, making it great for everyday use.

Will CBD make me feel high?

No, CBD is completely non-psychoactive, meaning it will not give you the “high” that many associate with the effect of marijuana (or THC). However, many people do feel a sense of relaxation and clarity as an effect of using CBD.

What are the benefits?

In recent years CBD has been clinically proven to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-psychotic, anti-convulsant, antidepressant, and anti-cancer properties.

Research shows CBD can be used in treating anxiety, depression, arthritis, epilepsy, sleep disorders, ADD + ADHD, asthma, heart disease, mood disorders, addiction, OCD, and more.

Does CBD have an age restriction?

When it comes to CBD made from plants grown in a licensed marijuana cultivation, this answer can vary state to state and business to business. However, CBD made from hemp (legally recognized as cannabis plants with no more than 0.3 percent THC) is legal to be sold in all fifty states with no age restriction.

Our CBD has no THC whatsoever, so it is safe for all ages, however it is intended for ages 18 and up. User discretion is advised when giving CBD to minors.

How does it work?

CBD works by enhancing the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)--the system in charge of maintaining our bodies’ “homeostasis.” A properly functioning ECS balances all of our bodies’ interdependent functions. (This is why CBD has such a broad range of health benefits!

Much of our bodies’ daily functioning, including our mood, energy level, immune activity, blood pressure, bone density, and metabolism is affected by the well-being of our ECS.

ECS is made up of receptors that respond to cannabinoids like CBD (and also THC). When CBD is introduced to the body, it bonds with these ECS receptors, effectively improving their functionality.
